New on HUM

Over the holidays, I was finally able to get a handful of projects from last year up on the website. (Still need to write descriptions for most if them, but who knows when there will be time for that!) I’ve gotten to work with so many truly inspiring people this year, many of whom are small business owners, and have taught me so much about writing your own job description, making time for non-work, and the importance of friends. I’m so grateful for them all.

Here are a few of the new projects up now at humcreative.com:

Brooke Fitts of Brookelyn Photography wanted to refresh her branding to reflect the casual warmth of her photos. We designed a flexible branding system, letter pressed thank you note and business cards, and designed a light CSS refresh to her existing website. See a bit more here.

To promote her book “VACANCY: Photographs from the Gateway to Death Valley”, Pamela Littky asked Hum to help her create a self contained kit, titled “Companion for Crossing Death Valley.” In addition to her beautiful book, this kit contains a stylized postcard, a roadmap referencing photo locations and landmarks, a roadside emergency first aid kit (with bandages, custom matches and sunblock), and sustenance in the form of a s’mores kit. We had so much fun working with Pamela on this project and cannot wait to collaborate with her again!

I was honored to work with the hilarious Mindy Kaling on her website The Concerns of Mindy Kaling. If you haven’t yet, be sure to read her book and follow her blog!

of course, this has been HelloGiggles’ year! Just knowing Molly, Sophia, and Zooey has been sooo fun & Inspiring. It’s been a thrill to see HelloGiggles grow from an idea with our first logo sketches, to a full brand, website and shop. The best part? There’s so much still to come from HelloGiggles!

2011 was a challenging but rewarding year. As a first year in business, It was full of lessons (schedule sleep), but I’ve tried to really learn something from them all. I’ve made some things I’m proud of  and some things I’m not so proud of, the studio has grown a teeny bit by inviting interns, and I’ve met and worked with incredible people. So stoked already for all that 2012 has to offer. Two websites I’ve been working on all winter will launch very soon, can’t wait to share…
